Alpha Sigma Welcomes 14 New Pledges

This summer, we hosted a lot of rush events, including attending a couple of Braves Games, an event at Dixie Motor Speedway, Roller Derby date night, and karaoke at the house. By the end of the summer, we had 8 guys take bids, and by the end of formal rush, we had a total of 14 new guys.

We typically find ourselves rushing against Sigma Chi, but we got a good group of guys from the Atlanta area and around the state of Georgia. Only one brother, Brenton Sanders, is from out of state and comes to us from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He’s also a member of the Baseball team. Another brother, Russell Gardner, is playing club Lacrosse at Tech.

Within this new pledge class, there are also a couple of legacies. Landon Hopf is the younger brother of our chapter’s old President, Evan Hopf, and is a transfer from Georgia Southern. Austin Schendl is also a legacy, as his uncle was a member of the Alpha Sigma chapter in the late 80’s. Overall, we are excited for the new guys and eager to get to know them all.
